Bordered, as its name suggests, by the Seine on one side, Vitry-sur-Seine (94) is located southeast of Paris, separated from Paris by its neighbor Ivry (with which it is often confused). Undergoing transformation, it notably hosts the MAC/VAL (Museum of Contemporary Art of Val-de-Marne), opened in 2005, which houses a rich permanent collection and temporary exhibitions. There are also several renowned theaters, a large cinema, a concert hall, and an interactive museum. On the sports side, clubs and associations allow the practice of around fifty disciplines, in addition to cycling and running in the city's parks, notably the beautiful Lilas Park, which will be pleasant to visit in good weather. Well served and close to Paris, Vitry is crossed by tramway T7, metro line 7, and RER C, in addition to numerous buses.
